I downloaded the game, and when I want to play and choose the resolution settings, the screen goes white and nothing more happens after that. Can anyone help me with that? I have all drivers updated
The most likely reason for a white screen is a missing/altered core data file (especially Alts) or missing menu UI elements. All that's related with actually playing (especially bin files in fighter and stages) aren't required for the game to start, so it's not that.
I keep trying to press F8 to unlock all the characters, but my laptop just keeps opening up a thing that shows different screen options and stops me from unlocking all the characters. How do I work around this to make F8 actually unlock the characters?

I actually main: pikachu/ Link Dark/ link/ toon link/ little mac(smash)/ shadow/ pichu/ ganondorf /klonoa ...and i know a garanteed way to land the ko punch(up grab and B) btw i played the game 6 years from now and if you want to main a character i recommend watching youtube to learn combos especially for characters who have similair moveset to ssbu (C.falcon/fox/falcon/banjo and kazooie/mario/luigi/...) those are easy to begun with especially C.falcon

Primero reinicia tu computadora, luego de reiniciarlo, te vas al archivo del juego, agarras el .txt de los controles y los borras. Después ejecutas el .exe (asegúrate de que tu mando o teclado estén ya conectados), en teoría debería funcionar.
why do characters keep disappearing in this update I’ve never seen this happen before! This update is impressive but the disappearing characters suddenly while in the middle of the match is so annoying!
well i want to add mods to the game like sheik and zelda but i can't find a balanced mod for the game because sheik's moveset are fast and it can be spamed and zelda's side B have a HUGE range and knockback so if anyone have high quality and balanced mods pls contact me
Nonsensical. There are several transformations mods that just work. Also, Agumon>Greymon isn't even a mod (anymore), it's in core game, and the transformation works.
Zelda has no publically available sprites, that's why she's not ingame. It's a lot of work to create a spriteset from scratch, and they simply didn't want to. But it has nothing to to with an engine restriction.
And so does many existing mods. Some even have more than two transformations : Vent/Aile not only has two entire characters in the same mod, but both have like five different armors with entire movesets they can switch at any time.
Also the number of different moves don't matter, it's all the same code structure.

They just forgot to put the file. Not a bug, it's just missing. Either redownload the full game now, or go to the Discord and get the single missing file.

If you want to unlock them manually, you'll have to use a character in classic mode without using any continues, and see what happens. Keep in mind that this may only work for certain unlockable characters. It's up to you to figure out which characters are unlocked by this method.
It would be worse. They can't afford rollback netcode, so servers would be laggy as hell. VPN LAN with end-to-end input lag is the best we can expect, and it's actually good in most cases.
People need to stop being so impatient the devs are working really hard on this game that they make no profit from. also the overview is here for anyone looking for it
HOW did u just got all the things from the new version(dark link,scizor,crash and pacman gfx and more...), btw, i dont like adding characters by using mcloud sprites,(this includes:zelda,pit, and other mods using ssf2's sprites) but diddy kong,king dedede and zss should be addded/comeback. i would rather to add cloud, cuphead and more dbz characters(also, why tf you let geno close to ballon fighter and black mage...no sense)

Es un error que pasa cuando usas mando genérico después de mapear los botones y cerrar el juego al terminar de jugar, con el programa XOutput simulas el mando de Xbox con uno genérico y ese error se soluciona, me pasó y lo descubrí probando, sino te toca borrar el archivo de configuración “controls.ini” antes de abrir el juego y volver a mapear el mando para jugar.

Ssbc vanilla engine use a really old version of game maker, so that's why zelda will never added, same goes for the weird system of the online.
Edit: Zelda can be added, but the transformation system can't work.

the devs says than the transformation is complex, also, greymon dosen't have a full diffrent moveset, which shiek has.

They are both available as separate mods with no transformation. Sheik is inside CMC+, Zelda is on Gamebanana.
